Party Paws Returns

I have been playing with the stunning Acetate  and the Party Paws Borders and sentiments kits from Crafters Companion. Its amazing how a sheet of acetate can totally transform a  card or gift box.

Here are a few ideas for you;

Gold heart patterned acetate wrap

Inside of the card using some gold flower acetate at the aperture.

An acetate wrap using the gold flower cornered  pattern.

A gift bag made using Centura pearl with flower acetate over the aperture.

Embossalicious number 2

I have been having a play with the stunning Embossalicious embossing folders from Crafters Companion.

The makes today are using the 6X6 Swirl Corner and the Petite dots. Its amazing the different looks that you can achieve using these stunning folders.

I have used Coordinations card stock in the swirl embossing folder and then using the Crafters Companion Butterfly Diesire die and some more coordinations you have one finished card.

This one again is using the Swirl corner but this time I used centura pearl card stock. The topper is from one of the Hunkydory kits.

Now for something slightly different. This time I used the petite dots folder and some copper engraving art card. I found this on a shelf in a local craft shop and thought I would give it a go and you get stunning results with your embossing folders when you lightly sand the black top off to reveal the copper metal underneath;

The topper on this one is the Bird Cage from Tim Holtz and the sentiment from Hunkydory.

For the next one I went back to the stunning Coordinations range and again using the petite dots folder. The topper is from the fun Toreads range from Crafters Companion.

Thats all for now but I have some Party Paws coming up tomorrow.

Embossalicious

The wonderful team at Crafters Companion have had the Design Team beavering away making some more samples using the fab Embossalicious embossing folders. I had a go at some new designs using some other products not from Crafters Companion...dont worry I have not gone mad we had permission to do it..lol

I used the Regal Damask folder for the 2 cards below;

For this one I used the Candlelight Fright die from Tim Holtz

This one has a topper from the Hunkydory Tea Time collection.

Its amazing how you can produce 2 very different cards but essentially using the same products..the embossing folder and centura pearl card...Have fun x

Sneaky peek number 3

Here is my favourite make so far using the stunning new CD from Crafters Companion..Angel Whispers and Faerie Poppets that is going to be pick of the week from Friday.

I initially just made up a frame card from the CD and was not sure how to make it into a card but then thought how lovely it was and that more should have been made to display it properly.

My mind then went into overdrive and I created this book/ stationary set that includes little cards and notlets all from the CD.

I covered the frame card with some acetate and used some gold peeloffs to cover up the tape lines and then mounted it onto some Centura pearl card to create a book. The corners are made with the Diesire die decorative corners and Coordiantions card stock.

Front of the stationary book
 On the inside pages I added some of the other stunning images from the CD including the great Tags;

The next page was to hold the cards and notelets. I created a little pocket on the right hand side and decorated it with one of the beautiful borders.

On the left side of the page I printed out one of the fabric images onto canvas effect paper and mounted onto some mirror card;

some more of the stunning tags;

This next page I made a little notebook for all those little scribbles;

 Another page with some notelets and cards and another one of the lovely borders;

The back page;

A better look at the depth of the book which is tied together with some purple satin ribbon;

I just hope it looks good on air for the pick of the week on Create and Craft xx

Sneaky peek number 2

Here is my second project made with the stunning new Faerie Poppets and Angel Whispers CD from Crafters Companion.
This is one of the stunning card companions made using just some extra backing paper from the CD to make a larger card. Simple but effective.

Dont forget that this new CD will be pick of the week on Create and Craft from Friday. Have fun x

Sneaky peek number 1

Well the wonderful team at Crafters Companion have done it again with another stunning CD Faerie Poppets and Angel Whispers. Christines art work is stunning as always and I am sure you are going to love this new collection.

My 1st sneaky peek is one of the Card Companions from the CD but just with a few more things added. Thats the joy of the card companions you can either make a quick card or move on and do something more advanced..

I have used one of the Diesire dies for the backing of the topper. It is theWaltz Frame die. I have added a few beading embellishments to the top right hand corner using elements from the Beaders Companion embellishments kit.

I have also made a small flower using coordinations and the small Camellia die.

Thanks for stopping by xxx

March project for Beaders and Crafters Companion

For the March project using both Beaders Companion and Crafters Companion products I have made a card with wire embellishments which are so easy to make and good fun to. Please find below step by step instructions to make the card;

8X8 card base.
Nigel Mays Blooming Amazing CD
Mirror card
3d glue gel
Double sided tape

Tools
Gizmo
Wire cutters
Flat and round nose plier
Paper trimmer

The card;

Matt and layer your chosen backing paper onto mirror card and attach to card base and then build up the decoupage using 3d glue gel. Matt and layer this onto some more mirror card and then attach to the card

To make the flower in Top Left corner;
Take one pack of the blue 22 gauge wire and attach to your coiling gizmo. Coil the wire until you are almost at the end of the rod. Cut the wire and repeat. This will give you 2 lengths of coiled wire. You now need to cut those large coils into 5 approx 3cm long sections..these make the petals. Now insert the end of the blue wire and thread it through the 1st 3cm length and bend in half and twist so that it forms a petal shape. Add the next 3cm section and continue adding and twisting until all 5 are in place. Cut the length of wire from the reel allowing about 6cms for you to coil to form the top. To coil just start as if you were making the basic loop in jewellery making but instead of leaving it at one loop keep adding more by turning the wire in your flat nose pliers until the coil is tight up against the petals. This is then attached to the card using the 3d glue gel.

To make the swirl at the bottom of the card;

Take a length of approx 15cms of 22 gauge blue wire. At one end make the standard loop but continue to loop it round, as on the top of the flower until you are about 1/4 way down the length of wire. Repeat this at the other end but curl in the opposite direction. Once happy add them to the card using 3d glue gel

A little bit of wire work

As a design team member for Beaders companion and Crafters Companion I had to come up with a project that uses both skills and mediums.

I have created this gift box out of 14X14 Centura pearl card and using my Ultimate Pro.

The blue border around the box was made using Diesire Lace Border 6 and some blue centura pearl from the darks collection.

The flower on the top was made with my coiling Gizmo and 22 gauge blue wire and then added a blue bead in the middle.

A it of ribbon and a bow and there you have it a very special gift box

Wait until you see whats inside.......
